audio CDs where appropriate.
For younger students the material is monitored for offensive content.
Students are encouraged to embark original and/or recording projects .
(See the Services section for further details.)
Computer
I
have used computer systems for many years to record my music and the
work of students, and also to provide backing tracks for myself
and other local artistes. I am keen to teach or assist those who
wish to equip themselves with their own recording facility. As a
teacher I am also very happy to help those who are new to personal
computing, and am willing to provide a home visit service to
facilitate this. Instruction is for Microsoft Windows, and the
practical use of Linux - a comprehensive alternative to Windows. Linux
is an open source operating sytem, where there is access to a massive and predominantly free range of software!
Drum Tuition
The
studio is equipped with a full kit of acoustic drums, and an
experienced drum tutor is available on request.
